If I want a timecode window burn onto a DVD of a half hour show with the typical chunks of video on multiple tracks the only way I know how to do this is to:
    1. render an AVI to a new track for continuous video
    2. Add the timcode plugin onto the new track
    3. Render a new mpeg2 (and AC3)
    4. Burn A DVD.

I would like to eliminate the AVI render to speed up the process, but I cannot find a way to create timecode burns with discontinous video.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

If you want source TC to show up on each and every clip, run the “Add Timecode to all Media” script (found in versions 7 & 8 of Vegas Pro).
If all you want is TC of the timeline, apply the TC FX on the Video Output FX (found just above the Preview window).
    Render for DVD as usual.

If im reading you correct, you dont have to add the
timecode to the track to get what you want on several
events…you can just add the timecode filter to the
“video bus Track” or easiest way to just drag the effect to
    the “preview monitor”.
