timecode window
Is there an equivalent in FCP to Avid’s timecode window?
On the Avid I have a window that tracks my source TC for 2 or 3 video tracks
and 4 audio tracks as I scroll through my sequence. Can you do this in FCP? -

Does this plugin let you track multiple timecodes at the same time or just one?

I think just the one….but I don’t know for sure as I don’t have it.
I forgot that the Avid one lets you see more that the timeline TC. I am sitting in front of an Avid now and I opened the window and boom…all those options.
I might have to suggest that to Martin Baker for a new version…

This comes from Martin Baker of Digital Heaven:
“FCP only sends out one stream of TC so you get source TC when playing a clip in the Viewer or Sequence TC when playing a sequence.”
Ah well…yet another example of how FCP ain’t an Avid…
…nor should it be.

That’s too bad…I really like to be able to track all
my sources at the same time…Oh well. -
Are you talking about FCPs Timecode overlays in the Sequence viewer? There is a pulldown that allows you to choose Timecode overlays and you will see timecode of all active tracks.

Yeah, that’s kind of what I was looking for.
It’s a little limited in that you can’t move them around
and resize them I guess?, but it’s better than nothing.
