    Hi everyone-

I am getting inconsistent timecode offsets when capturing using my Kona 2. I am working in Final Cut 5, on a G5 using Tiger 10.4.2 and Quicktime 7.0.2.

On a recent 90 minute conform working from only 2 tapes I was forced to eyematch each cut due to a +/- 1 frame offset in almost half of the recaptured clips. The other half were correct. I discovered the offset by ganging the new conformed sequence with the originial dv sequence which was correct. The dv timecode matched perfectly with the timecode on the digibetas I used for capture. If I recaptured the clips again, those that were off+1 frame in the previous capture might be off -1 frame in the recapture or not of at all. I am scratching my head and despite everyne praising AJA support I never seem to get a call back or an answer to my emails.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Joe

Evidently you can do .5 frame offsets in the RS-422 control. This was just the right medicine for my machine. With a -2.5 frame capture offset I now seem to be throughouly frame accurate (knock on wood).

And I had no trouble talking to AJA this afternoon. I guess I always call too early.
