timecode trouble
I am importing an XDcamEX clip into aftereffects, and making a new comp. I´m able to set the starting timecode of the composition to match that of the original clip. But when i render it, the new file starts at timecode 00.00.00.00.
Is there any way to keep the original timecode? The reason i need to do this, is that i want to replace the clip with the original clip in Final Cut, and due to serious time remapping in FCP, it´s to timeconsuming to do it manually.
i´m using CS3.
Any suggestions?

I’m afraid this doesn’t solve my problem. The thing is, I’ve chopped the clip into maybe 30 parts, each having different speed. If I was using your method it would take longer than doing the thing all over again.
But thanks anyway.What I want to do is make the clip offline in FCP, then reconnect the clip with the one i’ve exported from AE. To do this I need the same timecode.

If there is no way to change starting timecode in AE renders,
I guess the best workaround is to export the clip from a FCP timeline before I start editing, so the clip starts on timecode 00.00.00.00, Then i´ll be able to have the same timecode from AEX.
