I’m trying to burn some timecode using FinalCut Express 2. Though the “Timecode Print” video filter is described in the FCE help, I don’t see it on the effects menu when I select my clip. Should be in the video section, but I don’t see it anywhere. What do I have to do to make it appear in the effects list? My clip doesn’t have captured timecode, can I add some? It’s an existing clip.

It’s a mistake in the manual. The features not available in FCE. However, there is a free TC plug-in available.
