    Hello

I am working on an editing project where I have multiply cuts in Premiere (cs6), but it’a actually only 3 files of footage.

When I moved to the post stage I thought it would be easier to just apply the color corrections and effects in AE on the 3 footage files, bring the compositions back to Premiere and just replace them on the timeline the same way you replace any clip in premiere (drag+alt).

The problem is, that even though the timecode matches in AE, when I bring the composition into premiere the timecode resets to 00:00:00:00,
and therefore cannot be matched with the cuts on the timelines.

Thoughts on how to solve this?

    Thanks,
    Oded

I would personally do it the other way around.

If you have your cut ready in Premiere, you could replace that with an After Effects composition. In AE you can create a preset for each of the three shots, meaning it won’t take you much longer to apply a particular preset to different parts of the shot.

    Thanks for the reply.
I don’t think that would work well – I have key and multiply effects and layers for each footage file.
