    I need to generate on screen timecode in a specific font. Does any one know of an FCP plug in that will allow me to change the font while still generating timecode?

    Hi Sean,

    A question probably more suitable for the Final Cut Pro forum but you can acutally edit the current Final Cut Pro Timecode Generator filter to add in a font setting. However, once that is done, you’ll have to render the sequence after applying the filer.

    Right click on the filter in Final Cut Pro and select “Open in Editor”, then add in the following line:

    setTextFont(“verdana”);

    before the following lines:

    setTextSize(fontsize);
    setTextjustify(kcenterjustify);

    replace verdana with the font of your choice and you should be good to go.

    regards
