timecode display in FCP6
Posted by Nick Price on April 20, 2007 at 5:05 pmIs there any upgrade to the timecode display. This is the only thing i miss from Avid. My directors are always grumbling that they cant see a source timecode when playing, and that it is too small when paused anyway.
….its the little thngs in life…
cheers

That’s what we use and I HIGHLY recommend it. Only thing it does not do is give you a big display during digitizing, but while editing, you can make the display as big as you want it to be.

Did you follow the instructions? Turn on the Audio Mixer Window and enable the Mackie control surface?

April 20, 2007 at 11:56 pmYep you have to have BigTime assigned as a control surface AND have the Audio Mixer shown somewhere (hidden behind other windows is fine). Even I sometimes forget the last step and I wrote the damn software!
Unfortunately FCP doesn’t send out control surface timecode during capturing so that one is out of our hands.

April 21, 2007 at 5:18 amHow great is that!
It took more time to say -read the manual- than Martin’s 2 sentences to address the issue.
