Is there any upgrade to the timecode display. This is the only thing i miss from Avid. My directors are always grumbling that they cant see a source timecode when playing, and that it is too small when paused anyway.

….its the little thngs in life…

    cheers

That’s what we use and I HIGHLY recommend it. Only thing it does not do is give you a big display during digitizing, but while editing, you can make the display as big as you want it to be.

Let me third that. And add that Big Time was developed (at least in part) as a result of requests made on this forum, I think. All hail the cow…

How do you get the timecode to display with big time. I tried the demo for 5 mins and when I scub the timeline there was no timecode displayed in the big time window.

Did you follow the instructions? Turn on the Audio Mixer Window and enable the Mackie control surface?

Follow the instructions provided by Digital Heaven, it’s all spelled out there.

Yep you have to have BigTime assigned as a control surface AND have the Audio Mixer shown somewhere (hidden behind other windows is fine). Even I sometimes forget the last step and I wrote the damn software!

Unfortunately FCP doesn’t send out control surface timecode during capturing so that one is out of our hands.

    How great is that!
It took more time to say -read the manual- than Martin’s 2 sentences to address the issue.
    Awesome….
