I’ve been having problems during Capture with FCP stopping for Timecode breaks where the timecode was continous.
FCP just slows down (like normal) and keeps on truckin. But the problem for us, it’s happening on almost every other clip. So to batch capture 5 minutes of video, it takes 10 or more. (every time it locates timecode, it’s 50-120seconds..or more)

We are using Decklink Extreme, using SDI, and Digital Betacam.

Computer is a Dual 2.7, with 4GB of ram, FCP 5

Any known problems? I’m fairly sure we are all up to date with software and drivers.

Have you had your DigiBeta unit serviced recently? Could be dirty heads. Then, is it happening with all tapes or just one. Could be bad tape stock. Testing to see which is the culprit is in order. Deck, cables or tape. Good luck.

    Hope this helps-
