    Greetings,

I am losing my mind here. I have a project that I completed a couple of months ago. The project was a live seminar shot with two cameras. Each camera had about 70 minutes of actual used footage. I captured both of the tapes and used Multicam to cut between the two.

Now, three months later, I have been asked to change a few things with the graphics. So I attempted to batch capture the two tapes, but during the capture, I get a timecode break, and the capture aborts. I have tried it a couple of times, but I get the same timecode break each time. The funny thing about the breaks are that the break in the first tape actually occurs AFTER the actual program (during some color bars at 71 minutes), meaning that the actual program portion of the tape is fine. I do not want to start all over, but I am not sure what to do next.

    So far I have tried…..
Capturing the individual clips used in the timeline – This doesn’t work, because multicam does not see each of the segments of video as clips. Therefore if I try ro batch capture a single piece, it wants to capture 140 minutes of video from 2 reels.

I tried dragging the clips from the timeline into a bin, and capturing them individually there – same result as above.

I have tried to use capture Now to capture the whole video again, and then reconnect it. – This didn’t work, as FCP split the video at the timecode break, which makes the reconnect impossible due to the missing end timecode.

So, I currently have the two tapes digitized, and each clip actually contains all the footage necessary to reconstruct the video. Is there any way to fool final cut into reconnecting? Is there a way to turn the multiclip segment in the timeline into actual clips for recapture? Is there a way to change tape 1’s logging info since the break occurs AFTER the used protion of the video?

    Any duggestions would be great!!
