Does anyone know how this can be done. I need to superimpose a timecode on the frame of some video, so it can be checked with timestamps that were recorded elsewhere. How can I do this in Premier Pro 2? Maybe I will need a plug-in?

yea. Effect was the key word, when I had originally searched for timecode (before I posted) it came up with WAY too much stuff. thanks for the point in the right direction anyway.
    Cheers
