Where do you expect to see a timestamp? If you want to display the timecode of the file you can add a Sony Timecode FX to the media in the Project Media pool. This will display the files timecode in a window.

I need the time and date to show these are surveillance videos and the time date must be on them I never had this happen before is there something i may have changed?

Vegas does not place a visible time and date on a video. It only has a Timecode FX which must be manually added. If they were there before, they must have bene on the original tape, or you were not viewing them in Vegas. I have never seen this behavior in Vegas and I’ve been using Vegas since version 3.0.

First of all, what is Pin 10?
I handled a lot of surveillance videos in my previous job and that’s not a term I’m familiar with.

In my experience, the ony way to have the date & time displayed in Vegas is if it was stamped (i.e. recorded) on the original video.

Is the source material miniDV tape?
If so, the only possible solution I’ve come across is to try a free app called DVdate but there’s no guarantee this will do what you need.

    Jim
You apparently posted this twice under different subject names on the same date.

I answered your question in your post above.
