Time Remapping a percomp values not representing frames.
Hi Guys
Long time viewer first time poster. First I have visited these forums many times and would like to post a quick and general thank you to all contributors as I have found many many solutions to my problems over the years. To my problem:
A quick version of my project: I am attempting to recreate an 90’s computer game with real life images.I have a precomp of still images of a person posing in various positions, standing -> punching-> standing. called Punch.
Each images is 1 frame long. See here.
I have nested this comp and applied time remapping so I can move between frames simply by keyframing the time remapping effect.
This is similar to a lip sync type method I have seen in various places around the web.MY problem.
I go through the process of keying and everything appears fine, but when I go back after keyframing several values. The images no longer match up to the values. Its as if the interpretation of the value has been changed. What happens is, I go through the keyframes and line them up as required. Then I go back and forth refining and then it’s all gone wrong.
The values are the same but they visual does not represent the the frame from the precomp.
To say it another way. I have time Remap value set to 2 and the frame shown is not the frame 2 from the precomp. In fact I have two key values set to 2. and the frame shown are completely different.Tl;dr the time remap for a precomp isn’t working correctly it isn’t showing the corresponding frames. It will even change what frames it shows for each value when a another keyframe is changed.
Apologies for the long explanation I have no clue where to start with this one.
Thanks for any help.
