Time Compression repeats sound
Hi everyone.
I recently updated to the new Media Composer 2019.12.0.
I always use the Time Compression Expansion plugin from the AudioSuite to speed a clip up while keeping the same pitch. Back on the older Media Composer versions, applying the plugin to a clip and rendering would yield a clip that had a shorter waveform (i.e. a shorter sound), but would keep the same length of the overall clip (silent “leader” was added after the shortened sound was finished).
In the new version, instead of silent “leader,” I get a weird doubling of the last few frames of the sound that I’m trying to speed up. I then have to lift that repeated sound out of the clip. This is irritating because if the clip becomes unrendered (for example, if I change the gain on the clip), it cuts off the sound because I had lifted a part of the clip. I then have to lengthen it again, rerender it, and then relift the repeated sound.
Does anyone have any advice? I feel like it might be something in my render or timeline settings or something.
Thanks,
Guy
