  • Time Code with firewire capture

    I’m using Final Cut 6.
I capture directly into Final Cut via a MacBook Pro. I have a firewire drive connected to the MacBook.
I can’t get time code when capturing this way.
If I use the DVCPRO firewire capture setting, and click on “Capture Now”, I get a message, “Waiting for timecode.
If I use “Uncontrollable device”, I can capture but without timecode.
Is it possible to capture via firewire and get timecode?
    Thank You,
    John

What are you capturing? if you are capturing DV, then the DVCPRO setting is not for you. Choose the DV/NTSC (or PAL if you are in Europe) EASY SETUP and use that.

    I’m capturing 1080 60i DVCPRO HD.
I used easy setup for the correct settings.
