Does anyone know how to remove time code from a video? I ripped the video from a DVD. The timecode does not appear when I play the video in FCP, but when I render another video, it magically appears. I have not applied the TCG or TCR filters. Any help much appreciated.

Assuming you mean you can see a timecode bar say, at the bottom of the screen, one way to get rid of that is to blow up the clip and move it down. Image will suffer a bit but hey, it works.

Duplicate the clip and in QT (Movie Properties) delete the TC track.
    May works.

I deleted the TC track but it is still there. Strange. Any other suggestions?
