Thunderbolt and Canon video record and transfer?
Hi all,
I had a HV-40 camcorder which I used with Quicktime Pro 7 to instantly record and file video via a DV/Firewire cable to my iMac.
The camera broke and I got a new iMac with only Thunderbolt and USB inputs.
I would like to have a quick and easy method of recording onto my iMac like I did with the HV-40 and Quicktime Pro 7.
I’ve asked a lot of different people at both Apple, Canon and B&H.
All they can tell me is my best bet is to get a:
Canon HFM52
HDMI to Thunderbolt converter box
A software for the converter box?
Can anyone recommend a good camera (if this one isn’t the best)A good converter box/ software for instantly getting the video files onto my computer?
The camera must be able to zoom so web cams are out of the equation.
The more user friendly/ fast this process can be the better, will be transferring large amounts of video very quickly.
Thank you!
