    hi all

i’m trying to create an effect to mimic how a fly sees.

you know, they have like thousands of eyes and when they look at something its mimic’d thousands of times?

apart from duplicting my layer hundres/thousands of times is there any plugin than can do the work for me?

    thanks all

    Happy Easter

    Hi,

You may try scaling down your footage then apply CC RepeTile.

    Salut.

Whatever you do make sure you apply a bulge to it remembering the way a fly’s eyes are shaped. But I do not believe that a fly sees miltiples of the same image.
I beliebe the fly almost has a 360 degree view and each eye is responsible for its own section. Its a protection mechanism.

    Cheers,
    JJ

I’d maybe have each image be hexagon shaped, and half-sized so the eye on each side of it would repeat half of what it shows.

It would be possible to automate such duplicating and masking with scripting, but I don’t know how much trouble you’d want to go to.
