  Threshold blending on a still picture

  Hi, I am kind of new at this whole AE thing, but thankfully I am catching on very quickly (because of my m4d Ps 5|<1|_|_z) . But there is this one effect that I have been trying to do; and that is to take a picture and threshold it to 5 then over a period of 15 seconds it to increase to 120 pts. of threshold.

  And, on another note, I have been trying to mimic the shooting style from Sin city. Any tips?
