    Three workstations 10GBe network

    Hi, is it possible to run a 10 GBe network between three workstations with dual port NICs and without a switch?
    I mean that each workstations will connect to other two.
    The config:

    1. MacPro 6.1 with hunderLink NT 2102 (10GBASE-T)
    2. MacPro 5.1 with Atto FastFrame NT12 RJ45
    3. HP xw8400 with Atto FastFrame NT12 RJ45

    Atto says the FastFrame is x8 electrcal and mechanical, but xw8400 has a x8 mechanical/x4 electrical port, will it work fine in such an old machine?

    the answer is no. You can’t daisy chain computers to create a network and have no switch and no server
    What you are describing will not work.
