Three-Way Color Corrector’s Color Wheels
Anyone have any advice on using the color wheels? I’m used to DaVinci, Apple Color and FCP7’s color wheels where it’s a beautiful balance of give-and-take – you pull the highlights one way and balance it by nudging the kids the opposite way. In Premiere, however, the color corrector literally colors the highlights (and only the highlights) whichever way you pull the highlights wheel. It’s like I’m drawing on my monitor with a colored marker. I imagine the secret lies with the Tonal Range Definition slider but I can’t seem to be able to get a good grasp on it.
I have Colorista, which works well, but I love the way Premiere’s built in corrector does secondaries.
