Three Qs about Sony Vegas Pro 9
Hi all. Three things I would like to be able to do
1) Assign a keyboard shortcut to “Render As” from the file menu. I couldnt find a way to do this, as I was able to assign other keys. That command does not appear to be in the list. Anyway to do this?
2) If I have several empty audio tracks that I create, and several audio files in the media bin, and I want to move each file to it’s own track, can I in one fell swoop? The only way I see to do this is one at a time. If I grab all of the audio files, they all go onto one track. Any way to get each audio file onto it’s own track?
3) Is there a way to use the Vegas Native plugs (particluarly the wavehammer plug) with other sw? I would like to use this plug with Cubase, but Cubase does not recognize the .dll file, even tho i poing Cubase’s plug-in mgr to the folder where the dll resides.

1. Options – Customize Keyboard – click on “Global”, scroll down to File and find the Render As option and then assign a keypress.
2. You don’t need to create the tracks first but… Select the audio files, right-click and drag to the timeline (or first audio track), and then choose “Across Tracks”
3. If it’s a VST, I’m sure it would work. If it’s a DirectX, only if Cubase can understand DirectX plugins. So… probably no.

So, are Sony Vegas’ plugs DirectX?
