I am using FastCoder to compress my Quicktime movie the MPEG 2. Yet, everytime I want to play the finished MPEG 2 movie, a Quicktime Player error message advises me that the movie couldn’t be opend. When I take the file to my PC using Media or Real player, the movie plays just fine. Any suggestion how I can rectify the problem?
    Thanks a bunch.

Do you have quicktime Pro on that machine? Can you playback other MPEG-2 files not encoded with this? What version of quicktime are you running? Does it make a muxed (audio and video together) or demuxed (audio and video separate) file?

Thanks for your questions. I do have the Quicktime Pro Version 7.1.2. I don’t think I have MPEG 2 uncompressed versions with it. What would they be? (I am new at this and have a lot to learn).
Thanks for trying to help me out.

I would work in demuxed or muxed mode.
    Do you have a solution?
    Thanks.
