I have a library – same one mentioned in my last post- 674 gigs.

I Have 3 different computers I can use to open this library , all are running 10.2.3.

Open library with iMac 5k no problems all clips and card volumes I have loaded footage from appear in the library along with all metadata I have added.

Open Library with my mac book pro – again no issues, the library and all work I have done appear as it should.

Open Library with a second iMac and the library opens, however there are some clips and dates of card volumes that just don’t appear. I don’t get the warning triangle, or the red missing clip signifier, there are some card offloads, which are arranged by date that just don’t appear AND I have events where some of the clips are loaded and appear in the browser but not all the clips from that event that should be present are present. In this case there are no warning icons, the clips just aren’t there in the browser. If I open library in the find and look through original media, all the clips are in the library but for some reason FCPX on this one iMac doesn’t think they even exist.

All CPU’s in this case are on El Cap, all running 10.2.3…

Has anyone seen this before and do you have a suggestion as to how to solve the problem?

Are you showing all clips and have nothing in the search field?

I am looking in the Library, top of the browser list and as the project opens. No search info is in play.

What does the little browser pull down say? All clips?

If only I had a dollar for every time I had one of those moments I could retire and have my own private island. More bumps and bruises then when learning to ride a bike, for me at least.

I’d say mental bumps and bruises, but no blood or concussions- yet.

Now that I have this issue resolved I’m converting libraries to external media so i can work the plan I have outlined in my other recent post.
