This expression no longer works
I have this expression saved in my notes to apply a different layer to the backside of a 3d layer but it no longer works.
Change Backside Layer Surface to Another Layer
Add blend to layer. Add layer source and add this expression to the Blend with Original.
if (toCompVec([0, 0, 1])[2] > 0 ) value else 0

If you’re using the JavaScript expression engine, you’ll need to change the expression to something like this:
toCompVec([0, 0, 1])[2] > 0 ? value : 0

That works but is seems to be ignoring the mask i have on the layer.

Hard to tell what’s going on there, but it seems like you would need the mask applied to both the front and back layers.
