I’m running a Multibridge on a new Intel Mac Pro. I have two 24 inch LCD monitors, and the broadcast monitor attached to the Multibridge is showing up as a third monitor in my preferences panel (even when I’m not in FCP or AfterEffects). Beyond the annoyance of losing windows “over there,” it is also taxing my graphics card (Quadro FX 4500), slowing down my machine and crashing OSX during renders and previews. Is this a Graphics Card issue, or is there some setting on my Multibridge / Display Preferences that will fix this problem?

    Hi,

If you don’t want the DeckLink desktop, just go to your System Preferences>DeckLink and disable the Desktop option. Restart your Mac and the desktop feature will be disabled but you will still be able to preview to your broadcast monitor via the DeckLink card using video applications such as Final Cut Pro and After Effects.
