    Cool, that’s what I love about the cow… even if you’ve been doing it for longer than you care to remember, you’ll always learn new things…

    a wise old editing master once told me…

    “just read the freakin’ manual or help menu”.

    note:
    -meant as a humorous but true little aside and not a snide smart ass dig reply ;>}

    You know what’s nice about the help menu is that you can search it, which makes it even easier. You don’t even have to pull out the volumes of paper to help you find an answer.

    But there’s always the cow, it’s a much more interactive manual. If you are lucky, you might get a joke or two thrown in for good measure.

    LOL Tom, none taken! I know I *should* know better…

    It’s funny though how you can go through your career editing, and never come across a particular function just because you never have cause for it. You can also subconciously develop ‘workarounds’ for a function you never knew existed… then someone says ‘why don’t you do that?’ and the penny drops…

    But yes, at the end of the day, RTFM… I guess I should put my FCP manuals in the smallest room in the house. I’ll know it inside out in the space of a month.

    Jason
