I’m testing a set up for a shooting an interview for a client that requires SD (PAL) 16:9 format and wants it delivered on a MIniDV tape (go figure, I did offer QT file…as he does use FCP) and then to send the tape the same say day by courier.
I’ve got a HPX 170 shooting to P2 and I’ve got 2 Canon XM2 that shoot only 4:3.
My plan is to shot SD, 16:9 on my Panasonic HPX 170 and import that to Final Cut and then print it to tape.Doing testing right now (the shoot is in 10 hrs) and when printing to tape the following message:
The footage does get printed to tape and it looks horizontally squeezed what I did expect,
but not sure if the image is printed squeezed but is in fact 16:9 or it is now 4:3 as the camera is 4:3.To simplify, will my client be able to get it as 16:9 once he plays back the tape or…
Thanks
Mio
