The number 23 – opening titles – how is this done?
The opening for the new movie THE NUMBER 23 starring Jim Carey, has some cool titles, letters changing, being affect by what is underneath. How is this accomplished, because I would like to imitate it for an upcoming video. Thanks

Not sure what you mean. Just watched the trailer and all I saw is some simple blendmmode trickery and some distortion effects with a dose of shine applied to it. Not sure if the actual movie titles are different from it. If so, please tell us where we can find some reference so we can advise.
