  • The Master audio track….anyone use it?

    I don’t. Never have.

Most of my work gets exported to an .omf for ProTools,
but even if it’s not in the budget, I can satisfactorily
balance the audio without making use of the master audio track.

Either in Premiere with the existing tracks or through Audition.

short story shorter: I wish I could remove it. Is it really necessary?

Ever use a master compressor and then a master limiter?
CS6 is actually quite lame in it’s implementation of VST’s but what they have sort of works(no ducker either).

So…track compressor for VO and then another for master.

no, if I have to do that, I prefer to send it to audition.

But most projects I do end up going to pro tools via omf.

I just find it slightly annoying the master track cannot
be removed…it’s really not that vital.
