It’s PETA….they want people to think that animals are just like humans so we stop eating them. This film will accomplish exactly that….a new generation of young children growing up thinking animals actually talk in the wild and have the same emotions and conversations just like we do.

It’s early, so my sarcasm radar might not be working yet, but over the decades there have already have been truckloads of media to do this. Call of the Wild, Mr. Ed, Homeward Bound, etc.,.,

They describe it like that because they believe the general public is that stupid, that CGI action is too abstract a concept. That’s laziness and also pretty contemptuous of the public.

Just watched the live action “Charlotte’s Web” a few days ago. Surprising good.

Well completely run-related but since this is a similar mis-usage of the language:

Every episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has a voiceover that says “Live from tape…” Well it’s not.

It should “RECORDED live TO tape…” (which is technically not true because there are often places where you can see an edit has been made). That aside, it SHOULD say “Recorded live to a multi-disk array and played back with minor edits and censorships…” (Before it’s archived likely to some form of DLT).

But I guess that’s asking for WAY TOO MUCH technical correctness.

I believe she actually says “Live on tape, from the Ed Sullivan Theatre…” which of course is just as wrong.

I don’t think they are worrying about technical correctness… rather just saying it to be funny, since it is a total oxymoron.

I for one do miss the first original Colbert show open, with all the tilt-shift shots, which I thought was very well done… here’s an uber-long version of it…
