the hide problem
Hey there.
Regarding the problem where you hide AFX in OSX and it gets stuck so you have to force quit:I got to that thread kind of late, but posted a script to see if it helps. I now have access to AE7 on Mac and haven’t seen this bug yet.
Please see if you can share some details about how to repeat the problem, so I can replicate it and test my script.

Clicking the yellow button causes the problem. Other hide methods do not.

WIth me the problem is caused by ‘hide others’ invoked in other programs, or most oftenly: I just Alt-click the Desktop or a window of another App to switch to there while hiding the current app.
The minimize button has never caused it, because then I still have the minimized window sitting in the dock, clicking on those windows allways brings back AE.The bug does not happen _every_ time I switch, just once in say 8 times.

Hmm … I’ve found that the yellow button hides the app in the doc every time, but every time, clicking the app in the dock does nothing, so I have to quit. Hmm again …

This problem happens when i am rendering or just finished a RAM preview. if I am rendering and dare to anger the gods by minimizing (i usually hit control + apple + ‘H'” then it wont come back up. even if the render is done.
