This is not that big of a deal –

What’s with the order of the channels on the 5.1 project output meters? Here’s how it stands compared to the “standards.”

Now I realize the visual channel order of the meters means nothing providing the project stems are designated as they should be in the FCPX Audio Inspector/Channel Configuration node. And I can export a multichannel 5.1 file using this Compressor setting:

Notice that setting uses the ITU channel configuration.

Is this just some sort of proprietary design by apple – or am I missing some way to rearrange the visual order of the meter channels?

I don’t do any surround sound, but out of the examples given it sure seems like FCP’s is the only one that makes a lick of sense and is what I would have expected surround meters to be.
