I know I’m always running on about how traditional broadcast and films are only one aspect of a larger and rapidly expanding world of video use. Over the past few weeks I participated in a good example.

A client came to me to both do the voiceover and video delivery prep for what I can best describe as a “video inside virtual print” ad for digital distribution via the burgeoning Conde Nast on-line magazine network.

    In this case, GolfWorld.

You can see the result on Page 2 of the on-line edition here. (Not sure it will auto play as set on all phones or tablets, but desktops seem to be fine)

I think it’s a good example of a slice of the production world that FCP-X is particularly well-suited to assist with during the huge changes rippling through the advertising world.

    FWIW.

Very true, although I believe Conde Nast themselves use a lot of Adobe software to produce their Digital Network

    Neil,

Is there a firewall in place in your shop? Folks involved in the production in many areas have been able to watch it.

    Anyone else having problems?

I bet the magazine issue hasn’t released yet. Sorry, I assumed my receiving the link meant it was published to the public. And thinking it through, it might be behind a subscriber pay wall. I’ll re-post it if and when it’s available.

My apologies for jumping the gun.

And if anyone’s a subscriber to the GolfWorld digital edition – its the Page 2 ad.
