    Hello,

I wanted to ask you fellows how you deal with a challenge that has come up for me for a few years. When I want to make new portfolio work but I do not have a client I find myself getting nowhere quite often because of a lack of footage. I cannot show the tutorial footage/projects and I do not have any budget so buying stock footage is out of my price range.

When you want to create something new and need footage how do you get it?

    Thanks for any ideas,

    Eric

PS. I run a very small multimedia design studio so I switch between director, web projects, flash and a bit of video.

Go forth and shoot your own footage to use. Why not?

There are TONS of sometimes interesting public domain clips you can download for free in many formats.

Thank you for the link to the internet archive. That is very helpful. I do own an older DV Camera but I have never learned about lighting while I suppose I could make an attempt to go and shoot my own stuff I would not anticipate high quality material.

Love the feedback though. Please keep it coming.

Ask your friends or family members if they need some video projects done. That is how I get some work, although it is basic stuff.
