    Hi,
I’m relatively new to using After Effects 7 and have just finished Total Trainings Basics course. So….uhhh….go easy on me 😉

I’d like to know how they do the background on The Bourne Supremacy End Credits. Here’s an example if you don’t know what I’m on about https://www.dailymotion.com/Smirnoff-Black/video/x3bm11_bourne-supremacy-credits-3m_news

Do they use some royalty free stock footage or can that kind of background be generated in After Effects 7?

I have a sort of vague idea about how to do the 3D work in it but hey, any advice on that too wouldn’t go unappreciated.

    Thanks.

Yeah, you could buy it, or you could make something like it with Trapcode’s 3D Stroke.

Does 3D stroke work in with the depth like that?

yes it is 3D. you can rotate the camera around and see depth and thickness and all that.

Check out this forum – as i think i have seen someone post things similar to this, or just check out the tutorials on the Trapcode website.

Thanks for the response. I’ll have a look at 3D Stroke and see how I get on with it.

You could do this without 3D Stroke. It would take some time though. You could make solids and position them throughout space, like in the credits, and then animate the evolution of a fractal noise solid and use it as a luma matte… wouldn’t be the exact effect, but It could look similar.
