  • The best way to sync two cameras and a separate audio source in Premiere CC

For a project I’m working on I have takes from two Canon 5D’s and 6 tracks of audio from an external source. My original plan was to Merge the Clips of audio to one of the angles then create a multicam from that merged clip and the B angle. However, to my suprise, Premiere Pro CC does not allow that function for whatever reason (the “Create Multicam Sequence” is grayed out).

Has anyone been presented with this challenge? It seems like a fairly common setup in the documentary world so I am a bit surprised it’s not possible to bring the elements together. Am I overlooking something painfully obvious?

If everything is synced, highlight the various angles, right click and choose “Nest.” It will become one clip. Right click on this clip and choose “Multicam-Enable”
