I am going to tape 3 shows in CA. I need to bring with me, 3 cameras, 3 tripods, a/v wires, small tape deck, batteries, light case, and other accessories.

What’s the best way to ship to make sure it doesn’t get lost or broken?

I think I can go the FedEx route becuase we will be meeting up with someone we know so I’ll have it delivered to the resience.

But I may need on of the cameras to use before I go. so do I ship everything that way except the stuff I need, then bring the camera on the plane as a carry on?

    TIA

    Sam,
in the entire world (and I mean the world, not the United States) there are MORE rental companies of video equipment in Los Angeles, than anywhere else on the entire planet. May I suggest that you forget shipping anything (other than your carry on camera), and rent some gear in LA, where it it cheap, and plentiful. There is such intense competition in LA, that you can probably get a cameraman with his own equipment, that will be the same cost as shipping your gear via fed ex.
