I have uses compressor for several years and just purchased Sorenson Squeeze 4.1 for Mac. What is the best way to learn this program for use with DVDpro, Web posting etc? Are there tutorials avialable? The users manual is a bit confusing.

Ditto, trial and error. Take notes and use a filenaming scheme that allows you to understand what you did.
Major user tip: Set watermarks or render text over your test clips that explain the settings you used. This is the ONLY WAY you can make side by side comparisons of the different settings.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

yeah, the one thing i HATE about the program is the file-naming…..always annoying to rename the clips

Ben Waggoner has a training DVD on the program. I got it for free from a dealer I ordered Squeeze 4.1 from.

Was it helpful? I am having a hard time converting my knowledge from compressor settings to sorenson settings. I would be willing to buy if from you if you would like to sell.
