The ‘additional’ apps when installing Ai CS4
Hi
I want to install Illustrator CS4 (it’s my second attempt actually).
It installs the following by default. (Add ‘Adobe’ before each name.) I’m wondering what’s helpful to install & what not. I started the installer to see the options & here’s the list I gotAir
Device Central CS4
Drive CS4
Extension Manager CS4
Media Player
Supporting Components
~ ExtendScript Toolkit CS4 (no choice with this one)I actually installed Illustrator with everything before (a few months ago) and it broke my Photoshop 5.5 install (I know that’s ancient, but still) so I’m very wary this time around (I restored my whole system in order to get rid of it after the last install).
Hmm, I know Bridge installed the last time too but I dont see it on that list. I wonder did I miss it or has it a different name here (?)
Anyways, any advice on what I could leave out would be great,

I forgot to say – this is on windows (XP) – just in case it makes a difference

Well, in case anyone else has the same query it’s looks like you can chuck the lot (well almost)
Air_________________________Looks superflous to me
Device Central CS4__________for development for mobile phones(!)
Drive CS4___________________For connecting to a “Version Cue Server” (versioning software – only seems to be available with an Adobe Suite)
Extension Manager CS4_______REQUIRED
Media Player________________For TV / video viewing
Supporting Components:
~ ExtendScript Toolkit CS4____REQUIRED
