    Hi Cow!
I haven’t been on the forum for a while but I was a lot 2-3 months back whilst doing my band’s first video, and I couldn’t have achieved it without the help of guys here, John R and the rest. What a fab forum, the free advice was amazing, massive heartfelt thanks to you all for doing this brilliant forum!
If interested the results from my Movie Studio Platinum 12 ver of Sony Vegas (will get pro soon) is here:
    https://youtu.be/QtUGDa4jcT4
It’s my band’s video with a bit of a, hopefully, amusing theme. It has my first attempt at CGI (a friend did the 3D Maze on Maya) and I green screened on top. I’d welcome comments on how to improve. My Green screening was limited to a small room and could get the busy actor one night only. It was rushed and too close to green screen hence tough to lose the green edges in places. There were so many band views that I had to do sub mixes but (thanks to great advice on here) managed to kept them pretty lossless. I really wish I’d had a better ray generator (funky middle 8 section). It looked great in low quality preview but rays not so good on final video and it cause a blur on whole screen. I did trial some newbluefx pluggins for chroma keyers and rays but no better results than sony packaged one I thought, maybe I didn’t use them correctly.

…and finally a plea for help. Looking for free, or good cheap, HD surfing clips to download for our next video release. Anyone know of any good sites? We have some clips we took ourselves I shot at 50 fps progressive (PAL btw) and it’s looks OK at quarter speed but waves not dramatic enough …if only I could get a video shoot in Hawaii on (someone else’s) expenses!! 🙂

Very nice video. I really enjoyed it. The 3D with chroma key was fine. It was supposed to be dream like and playful and it was. The most important thing was that you were creative and the editing techniques should always take a back seat to creativity. Well done!

Thank you Thayalan for nice comment, appreciated. Pretty pleased with result given the limited tools I had at hand but always looking at ways to improve. It’s a way off professional but there’s no way I would have done it as well as it was without the amazing support from this COW forum. I wonder how much more I’d would have gained, or can gain, by investing Sony Vegas pro?
