  • tga sequence exported in AE, can’t be imported to FCP properly

    Hi!

I exported a Targa sequence using After Effects (in a Windows PC) but when i tried to import it to Final Cut Pro, the images were not transparent. When i tried it in my windows PC it worked just fine. I exported the TGA files with RGB+Alpha channels.

Is the problem with my After Effects or does the MAC i used need a certain setting to be adjusted for it to import TGA properly?

    Thanks.

You might need to tell fcp manually to use the alpha channel after you’ve imported your targa files. Check the properties info for one of the targa files and set the alpha attribute to straight or black matte and see if that works.
