I’m using the shape tool to create custom shapes. I was wondering if there was any way to apply a texture to the shapes once they’re created. It’s far more convenient creating these shapes where I’m compositing rather than in Photoshop.

Jeff, I’m not sure if you’re going to like my answer. Two options:
-Turn the Color of the Shape white and use the Image Mask feature. If you have never done that check out this Star Wars Hologram Tutorial and it has a section on the Image Mask feature.

-Use a mask tool on the texture to create a shape. The mask tools act just like the shape tools so you can create the same shapes directly on the texture.

    Hope this helps.
