    I’m looking for a filter that will draw textured lines (pencil, charcoal etc rather than hard lines via vector paint) either based on drawn masks or the underlying image.

    Any ideas?

    … or you could apply effect>stylize>roughen edges, possibly reducing the border and scale parameters, then saving as a preset that you name “chalk” or whatever.
