  • Texture mapping these palm trees?

Posted by Tarn Mount on November 19, 2017 at 1:06 pm

    Hi,
I downloaded this model of palm trees and it came with all the various images and textures. But in my ignorance (think noob) I have no idea how to texture map them so they look like the rendered picture. Does anyone know how to make these work?

I have attached a zipped folder of the model and textures that cam with it. I also included a picture of what it’s meant to look like.

    Cheers, Tarn

the UV’s look like they are alright so you just have to import with settings that will separate the leaves and stems (or do if after) – if that’s already what you have then it’s just a matter of using the the images in the material channels. What is the problem, separating the objects or where to put the images?

    Hi Brian,
Thanks for having a look. Basically I have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t know how to seperate the textures or how to import settings (if there are setting attached to it). You’re talking to a new level of noob here ☺
I’ve just been opening the model and dragging the material onto the object with no idea about any f the rest.

    Cheers, Tarn
