Text/Number Effect: text not visible when applied
I’m using the Numbers effect to create an increasing animation. I use it all the time for this. It worked last week until the end of the week. Now when i put the effect on a solid, where i should see the red “0.00” there is nothing. i opened some old projects in which i used the effect and those numbers are gone, too! I’m using After Effects 7.0. I also ran the 7.0.1 update. A co-worker with a different serial number is having the same issue. I’m on a Mac. I have also tried trashing After Effects prefs and disabling my font manager. Has anyone else experienced this? Any help would be appreciated.

It works fine for me, on a MacBook Pro, 7.0, OS 10.4.8.
The question is: what changed between then and now? Did someone install something on the machines in your office?
Can you uninstall AE and reinstall? Though if someone installed something on your machines, that wouldn’t help.
