Text/Image follow video
Hi, not sure if this has been answered before.
I was wondering how to make text or an image stay smoothly on a video scene. To clarify what i mean;
let say i have a scene with a truck passing the camera, the side of the truck is white. I would like to place a image on the side of the truck as it passes, giving the elusion that the image is on the side of the truck.
I have done the image and i can get it to show on the side of the truck as it passes using keyframing, but it ends up being very jittery and it is very obvious that it has been placed their in post.I just watched the movide “Sex Drive” and at the start the guy is lifting weights. As the weights come down they have the words “Sex Drive” sitting on top of the weight bar. There is no jitters and it is 100% stable as the bar as it goes up and down.
Anybody have an idea how this effect can be achieved in Vegas Pro 9?
(Or is it just a massive amount of keyframing?)

There is a plugin for Vegas which among others has a motion tracker function: Boris FX. You should be able to create the effect (and render it) within the trial period.
