Text Tool in CS5
Came into work today to find my photoshop acting up. I’m making a poster and need to use the text tool. I drag the box and start to type, it doesn’t show on the image.
Yes, I made sure the text is a different color.
Yes, the layer is on the top of the stack
Yes, I’ve reset the tool.
Yes, I disabled OpenGL (which was a suggestion for this problem) And it still didn’t work.I can’t even highlight the text. If I drag over it, it shows that I have something selected in the text dialog pop-out box, but on the image, I can’t see where I have highlighted. I’ve tried just opening a file and writing on it..nothing. Illustrator is having this same problem.

Hi, Did you do a restart yet? Have you made any changes to your preferences? If you’re on a mac, running the disk utility might solve the problem or restarting in safe mode and check your log-in items.

Are you on a Mac? Repair permissions (if you’re not already doing this weekly, or leaving your computer on 24/7).
