I want to type some text in a cool, handwritten-ish font, and convert it to vector paths. I know I can just trace it in illustrator, and that’s what I’m going to do. But out of curiosity, is there any shortcut for this? Since you can scale text up loads with the font size, it seems to me that they could be vectors… so is there a “Covert text to path” button?

    Thanks,

    Ben Tubb

Cool… That’s useful, but it doesn’t really do what I wanted. I wanted to end up with a path that’s sort of in the middle of the line. The font is sort of like a continuous line, and I wanted that line as a path. But this ended up working out better. Thanks!
