Text that changes in each video
Hey,
I am working on some videos with Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 for a software company. The videos will be used to educate customers on the company’s products.
While going through a rough cut, my manger asked if it was possible to get personalized text in each video – right now where the script states “Enter your email here” I make some text type on “John.Doe@Email.com” (in After Effects).
Is it possible to get that individual customers email into the video there? So that when these videos are emailed to customers, each customer’s individual email appears in the video they are watching.
My manager claims they have seen this before, but I never have. I assume some coding is needed.
Any Ideas?

It would have to be coded in a page. There may be companies that offer that already.
You could do that with PHP, or Javascript (example), by passing the info as part of the URL. eg: https://www.yourpage.com?texttodisplay=Hello Dave. The page will display “Hello Dave” in the page through PHP coding.
A more complex system (although still simple for any coder) would be creating a database and adding the info ahead of time, then creating custom urls for each video (info would not have to be part of URL in that case).
There are tons of freelance sites out outthere where you can submit this for bidding if you know nothing about web design.
